I missed out making a card on Sunday (out-of-town) for the featured stamper on SCS.  So I used today's colors to make one!

We are to use Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade and Pool Party.  And for dessert use an outdoor element.

You can check out the FS "llwright" here ~  Chalkboard Silhouette.

When making a featured stamp card you are to change at least two elements on the card.  I changed the colors and the stamps used.   My paper flowers I made using Heartfelt Creations Posy Patch stamped in Poppy Parade with Spellbinders to cut them out.  The stamped image is from Every Moment and stamped with White Craft Ink, then I used Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder.  The petals I used Glaze on, though it doesn't show up much in the picture.  In the corner I added a little butterfly stamped in Sterling FrostThe middle I cut out using Nestabilities as well.

Thanks and have a great day.

CC320 & FTTC115 Thank You

I am trying my hand at two challenges today.  One is Split Coast Stampers Color Challenge and the other is Flourishes Sketch hosted this week by a wonderful friend ~ Silke ~ which you can check out here  My Life .

The colors to use are Cetainly Celery, Bashful Blue & Baja Breeze at SCS and a sketch from Flourishes.  I also added white.

I used the embossing folder Diamonds and Dots from Quickutz for the base.  The paper was to big...so I moved it to have the full effect in the background

Next layer is the Beaded Circles Nestabilities from Spellbinders, while still in the frame I sponged it with a dauber in Baja Breeze.

I used the beautiful single flower from the "Thank You #33 set" from Flourishes.  Colored it with Stampin Write Certainly Celery and copics Y08 & Y15 after stamping it in Black Noir.

The corners are paper pierced and a row of pearls added.  Made a bow and assembled.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Over on SCS today the colors for the challenge are Regal Rose, Pear Pizzazz & So Saffron.  Any neutral colors and dessert is any thing that begins with the letter "P".

I was not sure about these colors at first.  I think the old brain was asleep.  They are wonderful for flowers!  I used White and Pear Pizzazz card stock for the base of the card.  My stamp is a fairly new company called La Blanche and this one is called  "Flower Bouquet".  They are really a fun stamp to use and very easy to stamp and color.

I used the oval nestabilities to frame the stamp then went with the scallop oval die cut to give it some real dimension and to better frame the flowers.  I colored the flowers with stampin write's pens ~ Regal Rose, Pear Pizzazz & So Saffron.  I have been very good this week so I decided to have some dessert today...used pearls and punches (modern).

FS215 mbrcutie25

This stamper has some exceptional cards.  I picked this card of her's to case ~  Lucky clover  ~  her first!

I changed the colors, used a butterfly, went with oval instead of octagon and left off the little brads on the ribbon.

I used the new stamp set "Strength & Hope",  every purchase will help support breast cancer.  Also used the new dsp called Paisley Petals, very pretty.  The card stock is River Rock, Whisper White, Baja Breeze and vellum.

I stamped the butterfly on both the white and on vellum.  I then cut the vellum out and popped it on top for dimension.  I then cut out two more scallop ovals and layered those.  Added the ribbon, pearls and assembled.

Bravo Pizzazz Breeze {CC306 ~ TLC308}

Today the colors are Bravo Burgundy, Pear Pizzazz & Baja Breeze with dessert option of Bravo or Pizzazz or Breeze. Today I am skipping dessert (still need to unload those holiday pounds). I layed out the colors of card stock and finally decided on another silhouette card. I did one yesterday and liked it and wanted to try another, but time got away from me.

I used the Inspired by Nature stamp set in Bravo Burgundy ink, Used DSP in Pear Pizzazz. Cut out the Baja Breeze using nestabilities labels seven. Assembled and added half pearls and seam binding for the bow.

I forgot the post yesterday's card, please forgive me. We have so much going on here!

We were to do a silhouette card. Any type, style or color. I used a Unity Stamp Set for this card called Insightful Meadows. My card stock is Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake and DSP from Basic Grey called archaic.

I inked the stamp in Chocolate Chip and used the labels two Nestabilities set. The Modern Label Punch was used for the sentiment. Along with half silver pearls.  And popped up on Dimensionals.

TFL and have a great week.

Filled with Love

Cherry Cobbler, Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink are the colors for the challenge today over at SCS.  At first I was leery, but I got out a piece of each color card stock and realized they are great colors together for our upcoming Valentine's Day!

I used all the colors plus white card stock.  I stamped the arrow from the Basic Icons by paperbilities and the sentiment from the Filled with Love in black.  I punched out the hearts with the heart punch.

We are to use buttons or pearls for dessert if we want.  My red pearls matched so I did.

We are finally out of the ice storm and most of it has moved on.  We were without electricity last night (finally got it back on at 8:30 this morning) and I am getting the feeling back in my feet and hands.  It has taken all day to get back up into the 60's in our house.  Course with ice on everything and when the temperature drops that low in your home it takes forever to heat back up!

Featured Stamper for SCS

jazztobi is the featured stamper today...she has some great cards, does some beautiful work, congratulations to her.

I am still having a difficult time trying to make cards.  Suppose to go back to the orthopedic Monday week to get the button removed.  And to see how it is all progressing.

I picked the first card that you can check out here to CAS.  I changed the colors, used punches, embosslits with the big shot and a different stamp set.

Tempting Turquoise was calling me to go with this DSP put out by makingmemories called  Vintage Findings.  I also used TT ink.  I used the SU embosslit butterfly in Whisper White as the base and used the Shimmers for the top.  I cut out the sentiment using the Modern Label Punch, it's from the Notably Ornate Stamp Set.  I also added a trail of Pearls.

Have a great Sunday...

Hope You Can Cling To/Breast Awareness

I've done three challenges for SCS for today...they will also be part of several to be mailed and used by the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center for patients being treated for breast cancer.  Been there ~ done that.  I was diagnosised and treated for Breast Cancer in 2006.  Went through the chemo and radiation.

The first is to make a holiday card with pink.  I picked Christmas!

I used Pretty in Pink with Certainly Celery for this card.  Snow Swirled is the stamp set I used.  I adorned it with the new jewels SU has.  I also stamped some snow flakes around it with Craft Whisper White.  The sentiment was punched with the retired key tag punch. I also used to score pal in the background.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My next we are to use lace and lingerie if possible.
I found this lace I had never opened with these nice pearls and thought it would do nicely.  I layered Whisper White, Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo card stock.  I used the stamp set by Skipping Stones Design called Bra Volume #2 and stamped it in Melon Mambo ink.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Next up use brown as you would black.  Easy I love the look of Pink and brown together.

My cardstock is Early Expresso and Pink Pirouette.  I used the Scallop Trim Punch along the bottom and added pearls.  I used the Eastern Blooms stamp set and inked it in Pink Pirouette and Early Expresso.  I applied pearls to the flower branch as well.  For the sentiment I used the Curvy Verses Stamp Set.
