Fabulous Florets

The featured stamper today has a great gallery of delightful cards.  I went as usual to the first upload for the stamper...

Her card ~  Nature Walk For You  ~ can be seen here.

My take on her card.

I used the stamps from "Fabulous Florets" and stamped two images for the flower and fussy cut it for the top layer.

My colors are Raspberry Ripple, Very Vanilla and Old Olive.

The embossing in the background is from the Square Lattice.

Serene Silhouettes ~ Gorgeous Grunge

I've been MIA for some time.  My husband had surgery, had a set back, ended up in the hospital for a total for 5 weeks.  He's doing better now, but has a very long road to recovery.  I am able now to get back to my favorite thing...inking up my fingers and playing with paper.

First up is this weeks Color Challenge.  A simple card.  I like it and hope you do too!

These are unique colors to work with.  I used "Gorgeous Grunge" stamp set to ink up the top panel.  I then used the oval framelits to cut out the center portion.  I used the "Serene Silhouettes" the stamp the center tree silhouette.

This is last weeks and I used the hexagon hive thinlits and the hexagon punch.  My stamps are from the "Six Sided Sampler".

The sketch challenge had a simple layout.  Again I used the Oval Framelits. The Triangle punch was used for the end pieces.

The Stamps are from "Tea Party" and "Geometrical".

Thanks for stopping by and would love to hear what you think of my cards.

Christmas Tree

What a delightful gallery the featured stamper has for today!  Very classy.

Her first card uploaded was wonderful and very quick and easy.  New Baby Pram Check it out here!

My take on hers...

My colors are White and Pear Pizzazz.  The ribbon along the bottom is in Pear Pizzazz as well.

No stamping nor inks on this one.  The tree is cut using the big shot and a stencil I received in the mail from the UK.

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Star ~ Occasional Quotes

Use newsprint/script/book pages, etc. that is the challenge today on SCS.

I love using it never think too...

A quick and easy card.  I stamped the image on Crumb Cake in Cherry Cobbler and cut it out.  Trim off a bit of the three points and layered on Very Vanilla with Cherry Cobbler card stock.

The sentiment is stamped on Crumb Cake in Cherry Cobbler, then cut out using the Framelits Labels Collection.  Added some Jewels.

Thanks for stopping by.

IO Round Ornaments

Here is yesterdays sketch challenge card...

And my take on it...

The card stock is Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green and dsp Be of Good Cheer (retired).

Ink is Gumball Green and Crushed Curry.  I used a gold glitter pen and silver pen for the top.

The image is from Impression Obsession and called Round Ornament.

Backyard Basics

Unique colors for today...

Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight and Gold!

Took me most of the morning and this is my third attempt.  I was not having any luck today.  The first was embossing, the second was stamping on gold foil, it does not work!

Here's the final:

For dessert "fussy cut".  The first two I had planned to have some. But gave it up!

The Framelits are from the Backyard Basics and Apothecary sets.  The stamps are from the "Backyard Basics" as well.

I used gold foil for the frame. And added white and black.  And added some jewels in each corner of the framing.  I used Stampin Up! markers for the coloring on the stamped image in Woild Wasabi and Daffodil Delight.

Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think!

Scentsational Seasons

Our colors for today (11/26/2013) are Night of Navy, Baja Breeze and Daffodil Delight.  I tend to shy away from blues.  But these are very pretty together.  And I think this card is good for male or female.

Our dessert option is make it a hot drink.

I used the stylish strips embossing folder and the mugs is from the "Scentsational Seasons" (retired) stamp set with the framelits of the same name.  I added a jewel on the mug for a bit of bling.

Stippled Blossoms ~ Simply Sketched

Fun gallery for today's featured stamper on SCS.

Her card can be checked out here... My First Upload .

My colors are Primrose Petals, Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz and Garden Green.

The stamps are from "Stippled Blossoms" and "Simply Sketched".

Tag It

Sorry I am trying to get caught up on posting.  Been busy working and on the road!

Neat sketch for Wednesday.  My colors are Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Always Artichoke.

My ink is Cherry Cobbler.

The background Vanilla paper is Embossed using Fancy Fan.  The border has been cut using the scallop edge punch.

The red down the center has been embossed with Textured Impressions.  The rest is pretty self explanatory along with some added jewels.

The stamp is from "Tag It" and I used the Chalk Talk Framelits to cut it out.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a looking.

Santa's List

Fun colors for this week...Always Artichoke, Baked Brown Sugar and Cherry Cobbler, they are prefect for Christmas and extra points this week if you make it a Christmas Card.

Here's mine:

I used Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Mini Tree Punch and the Scalloped Edge Punch for this card.

The cute Santa is from "Santa's List" stamp set.  Added some jewels as well.

This is the card for Tuesday...

Santa's List

Great pick for the featured stamper today on SCS.  One4Joy!  She has a wonderful gallery and always leaves such wonderful comments!

My take on her card,  Almost there is her first upload.

I changed the theme, colors and she tore the inside of her card which I found cute.  But I'm not much of a tear I used a framelit.
I left Santa black and just added a bit of color to his cheeks and lips with Stampin Write pens in Raspberry Ripple and Pink Pirouette.
My card stock is Very Vanilla and Soft Suede.  The stamps are from Santa's List.

Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think!

Best of Christmas ~ Jolly Bingo Bits

Fun challenge on SCS today!  Use a wreath...stamp it, make it, emboss it, draw it, any kind of any type.

My card:

All white, with the embossing I used the retired Holiday Frame.  Stamped the candle using Stampin Write Pens in Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede and Cherry Cobbler.  It is from the retired "Jolly Bingo Bits".

Popped on some candy dots.  Stamped the Ornament from "Best of Christmas" stamp set in Old Olive ink.  Punched it out using the ornament punch.

Christmas Collectibles

I really like the sketch today on SCS.  It was a fun one.  I took forever because of the center ornament I decided to add...

I tried to add a center glitter punch out in the center and I couldn't get it to work.

On this one I punched out 11 ornaments.  In colors Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green.  Of course using the Christmas Ornament Punch.  Scored the centers and glued them together.  Always do an odd number for mailing...

My papers are Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green and retired dsp Be of Good Cheer.

Keep on stampin'!

Flower Shop

Great colors today...Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Smokey Slate and Pool Party!  I have a hard time with blues most of the time.  This one was quick and fun!

I used the hexagon punch guessed it!

The flowers are inked in colors, punch out using the pansy punch and then rolled to give them dimension and then I put a bit of glue and dazzling diamonds in the center of each.

I have not added a sentiment and not sure I will.  Maybe use it as a thinking of you card.  I am looking again at the picture and it looks more like aqua than blues here.  Whatever I am happy with the result and would love to hear what you think!

Seasonal Sayings

Here's my interpretation of today's featured stamper card.  Her first called Wedding Card . It's all white except for the stamping outline done in black.  I made mine all white...then changed it by adding the sentiment in Tempting Turquoise.

The sentiment is from "Seasonal Sayings" stamp set.

The Santa and Snowflakes are from IO dies. And cut out using Shimmery Paper.  Does not show up in the picture of course.

Hope you like the touch of color better than the original on SCS.

Have a wonderful Sunday...

Six-Sided Sample ~ Stippled Blossoms

No time to play yesterday, stayed on the phone pretty much the whole day...taking care of boring business for the hubby!!!

This card took some time.  Fussy cutting, not my favorite thing to do.  Then the punching and placing of the pieces.  I got started then had to start again.  It was fun though.

I put a small cut out in the corner for you to see the flower layers.

This is two challenges I combined.  The color and sketch on Split Coast Stampers.

My colors are Old Olive, Real Red, Calypso Coral, this for the inks and card stock.  I also used Whisper White.

I added the newly retired Ruffled Ribbon in Calypso Coral and used the "Hexagon Punch".

I will add the sentiment later and as you can see it all came together quite nicely.

Thanks for stopping by...

~ Best of Birthdays ~

It looks like I have not posted some of my cards. Oh well...I may have to go looking and post them.

The featured stamper on SplitCoastStampers today is "stampwithkristine".  Her first card she posted can be seen here called ~ Groovy Birthday.  It is very familiar to me as I lived through that time "the 60's".

I needed to make a card for my sister.  She loves to fish, although I don't think she does as much now as she did for years.

I had to use something other than SU for Miss Fisherwoman.  My Rod and Fish Set is from Rubbernecker.  The cute sentiment is from Ai #umg4155.  Love them!!!  On the inside I used a cake with lots of candles from the "Best of Birthdays" from the 25th anniversary collection put out by Stampin' Up!

My ink is Basic Black.  The card stock is Crumb Cake, White and Black.

I colored the fish and rod with Stampin' Write pens ion Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Smokey Slate and Summer Starfruit.

Thanks for stopping by and I love comments...

I would love to know what you think of the lacy background!

Serene Silhouettes

The colors today are Cajun Craze, Soft Suede and Summer Starfruit with the addition of dessert...a bow with some type of brad, button, etc on it.

My card.

I used Cajun Craze ink, added a Soft Suede bow and put a glimmer brad on it.  The ovals are cut out using the newish Ovals Collection Framelits.

Thanks for stopping by.
