SplitCoastStampers gave us the challenge of using a card from our saved favorites from the site and make a card today.

I have saved alot...and forgotten to look at them later.  This was a real treat.  Some I forgot about others I could not remember why I would have saved them.

The card I chose can be seen here ~  Simply Snow Swirled ~

I do love this stamp so it was an easy one to pick and use.  My card stock is white annd Always Artichoke.  I used nestabilites and the Snowflakes embossing folder in the backgrounds.

After stamping the tree I used Glitter Dome stickers.  Then added the ribbon and bow.

The sketch challenge today over at SCS is a fun one!  I used  this stamp set I've had for a while (got it in Augusta at a nice little shop that closed it's doors after only being open for a few years).  I may make more, it also has a cute little girl elf in the set, for each of the  grandchildren.

The set is called "Sweet Elves" and it is from the Stamping Studio line.  My card stock is White, Green Garden and Real Red.

I colored the elf in Copics {Y02, G07, E00, E02, 100, R46}.  The buckle is Twinklette Gold.  I also used a glitter pen, elements, nestabilities and glitter dome on his hat.  The two white backgrounds are run through the big shot using EF Swiss Dots and Snowflakes.

The sentiment is stamped in black and punched using the oval scallop and round oval.

Forgot to post the sketch challenge for last week.  It was unique and took a minute to figure out.  But I came out happy with the results.

I used Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy and White card stock and dsp called Paisley Petals.  With a tiny ribbon about 1/16 of an inch.  I used Nestabilities on the fore ground and front panel.  I used a cut rectangle piece with the corners rounded to separate them.  On the top panel I used "Pocket Silhouettes" stamp set in Craft White & Cajun Craze ink.  For the flowers I stamped them on White & Cajun Craze card stock with Cajun Craze Ink from the Posey Patch and cut them out with the Nestabilities Posey Template.  I gave them dimension using a round stylus and popped a glitter element in the center of each.

CC320 & FTTC115 Thank You

I am trying my hand at two challenges today.  One is Split Coast Stampers Color Challenge and the other is Flourishes Sketch hosted this week by a wonderful friend ~ Silke ~ which you can check out here  My Life .

The colors to use are Cetainly Celery, Bashful Blue & Baja Breeze at SCS and a sketch from Flourishes.  I also added white.

I used the embossing folder Diamonds and Dots from Quickutz for the base.  The paper was to big...so I moved it to have the full effect in the background

Next layer is the Beaded Circles Nestabilities from Spellbinders, while still in the frame I sponged it with a dauber in Baja Breeze.

I used the beautiful single flower from the "Thank You #33 set" from Flourishes.  Colored it with Stampin Write Certainly Celery and copics Y08 & Y15 after stamping it in Black Noir.

The corners are paper pierced and a row of pearls added.  Made a bow and assembled.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

FS215 mbrcutie25

This stamper has some exceptional cards.  I picked this card of her's to case ~  Lucky clover  ~  her first!

I changed the colors, used a butterfly, went with oval instead of octagon and left off the little brads on the ribbon.

I used the new stamp set "Strength & Hope",  every purchase will help support breast cancer.  Also used the new dsp called Paisley Petals, very pretty.  The card stock is River Rock, Whisper White, Baja Breeze and vellum.

I stamped the butterfly on both the white and on vellum.  I then cut the vellum out and popped it on top for dimension.  I then cut out two more scallop ovals and layered those.  Added the ribbon, pearls and assembled.

Tillymints is a winner!

The featured stamper today has some wonderful cards.  I like doing the first and thus I am not forced to try and pick one.

Her first  ~ Blue Daisy ~ I do like.  I changed the colors to white for the base and Rose Red DSP from the subtles collection. I picked a different stamp set, though it is similiar, it is called Thinking of you from Hero Arts.  I used craft ink in Rose Red and used clear embossing powder on it to make it stand out.

I made a flower from the pretties kit and used a random brad to hold it together.  For the image I cut the stamped image out from Nestabilities labels sixteen and then squared the side.  The DSP I scored with the Scor-Pal.  The base DSP I used the e-k success embossed curved punch (there is three curves in the paper).

Have a great Sunday ~ the weather is fantastic here!

Ways to Use it ~ 295

It has been a while since making a card.  My husband is on the mend and I am post 3 weeks from surgery to hand/wrist (had a joint replaced).  Not suppose to be doing all this, but I am so tired of doing nothing.  TV gets old, you get tired of reading all the time, etc. you know.

A friend made me a cute wood reindeer and wanted to send her a card and the SCS challenge looked like I could manage with a bit of help today.  The main image I stamped and colored a few months ago and never used.  So I used Nesties to cut it out, then the border around it.  Stamped the sentiment and punched that out.  Assembled and dug this ribbon out and tied a simple knot in it for a little extra color and dimension.

I used Garden Green, Wild Wasabi & Whisper White card stock.  Nestabilities and punches were used, so this is fairly easy to put together.  I added the ribbon and elements.  The ribbon does look so much better in person and the colors are really very vibrant.  The sentiment I stamped using Garden Green ink and the image was stamped with Momento Black and colored with copics {G17, G09, BG13, BG02, YR04, Y09, Y32, Y02}.  Not sure of the image name, will try to find it and post it later.

Color Challenge CC266

I started my card (Tuesday's seem to be bad days for me).  The window man showed up to replace some defective glass.  Went back to my card and got it done.  Took a picture.  Husband called said "let get lunch".  Then I had an eye appointment...so my eyes are now dilated and I hope the picture is good!

This card I am sending to my daughter in law for her birthday.  She loves pink.  I used dimensionals on the very center and the outside edge.  It's hard to see in the picure, but it gives it a great layered look.

Supplies:

Card Stock ~  Blush Blossom, Ruby Red, Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla

Stamp Sets ~  No One Like You

Accessories ~  Stampin' Write Cameo Coral, Ruby Red, Gemstones, Dimensionals, Nestabilities, Big Shot

KSCC#22

I'm trying out for the Kitchen Sinks Crew Challenge #22.  I love their stamps and have wanted to start making myself use them more often.  They are great!  Here's my first:

Makiko has challenge everyone to use plain paper instead of DSP.  I love using the Scor Pal and the new MS Scoring Board to give my cardstock that extra punch so this challenge is right up my alley.  Lots of times I use it on design paper and that is truly pretty.

Supplies:

Card Stock ~ Garden Green, Whisper White

Stamp Sets ~ KS Tulip Garden

Ink ~ SU's Rose Red, Riding Hood Red, Puyrely Pomegranate,
Bravo Burgandy. Versafine Imperial Purple. Memento's
        Dandelion, Desert Sand, Cottage Ivy.

Accessories ~ MS Scoring Board, Grosgrain Ribbon,
                    Nestabilities Labels Seven
