FS282 Laurie Thompson

Fun gallery and loads of wonderful cards.

I needed to make a sympathy card for a friend and this one seemed a good case card to use.

Her card (the first) can be seen here ~  Friendship with Bling

I flipped the card, used the "Thoughts & Prayers" and "Petitie Pairs" stamp sets on my card.  The trunk I stamped in Garden Green.  For the leaves I used Riding Hood Red, Daffodil Delight and Calyso Coral Stampin Write Pens.  I reinked and stamped with each color.

The ribbon has a simple knot.  The sentiment is stamped in Garden Green and punched out using the large Oval Punch.  The back is punched out using the Scallop Oval Punch.

Stay cool and have a wonderful Sunday.

FS242 "bensarmom"

I picked this stampers second upload, because her first was a cute pitcher with a card in the center.

Her card ~  To Someone Special can be seen here.

I stamped the images in black from the Garden Flower Tile set from Magenta and colored them in using copics {R43, R81, R83, R85, YG61, G03, G07, G12, G14} .  I framed them in black and applied them on the base after scoring it with the Simply Scoring Tool.  I stamped the sentiment from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set in Regal Rose and cut it out using Nestabilities label eleven.  Used a pen around the edges for more dimension and popped on silver elements on each side.

Have a great Sunday...

I could not make a card yesterday and wanted to give it a try!  It's called "Petal Card".  So I decided try it today with the color challenge.  So much fun!

We are to use Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive.  Unusual, but great colors together.

My card ~

The outside on the right I used Heartfelt Creations stamp set #HT229-C with the Blossoms 2 Nestabilities for the flower. I punched the belly band (lying in the fore ground) out with Lace Ribbon.  I used some old SU dsp paper for decoration on the Eyelet Nestabilities and circle Nestabilities (I had to cut out four of these) for the petals to make the card.

The inside (on the left) is more eyelet and circle Nestabilities.

The Stamp sets used on the round inside are Pocket Silhouettes and the new Petite Pairs.  I also stamped the sentiment in craft ink and used clear embossing powder on it.

If you are interested in giving this card a try you can check it out on Split Coast Stampers here ~ Petal Card.
