Forgot to post this card, for the color challenge over at SplitCoastStampers from last Tuesday.

Gumball Green, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight and White.  I used the Embossing Folder, Square Lattice for the background.

My image is from the "Thoughts and Prayers" stamp set.  The sentiment is punched out using the Oval Punch.

FS282 Laurie Thompson

Fun gallery and loads of wonderful cards.

I needed to make a sympathy card for a friend and this one seemed a good case card to use.

Her card (the first) can be seen here ~  Friendship with Bling

I flipped the card, used the "Thoughts & Prayers" and "Petitie Pairs" stamp sets on my card.  The trunk I stamped in Garden Green.  For the leaves I used Riding Hood Red, Daffodil Delight and Calyso Coral Stampin Write Pens.  I reinked and stamped with each color.

The ribbon has a simple knot.  The sentiment is stamped in Garden Green and punched out using the large Oval Punch.  The back is punched out using the Scallop Oval Punch.

Stay cool and have a wonderful Sunday.

This week the fun challenge on Monday is to follow the edge.  I got started on the card and got called away and did not get back to it until yesterday.  Not sure, I guess I had set it aside and forgot it.

I used the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set and colored the leaves in Old Olive and the trunk of the tree in Early Expresso with Stampin' Write Pens.  I cut out the side, added the Early Expresso cardstock and cut around that.  Then added the Old Olive cardstock and cut that.  Applied this to the card with only half a front.  I didn't like the stark white, it was just a bit too much.  So I cut out with the sizzix and big shot some grass to add to the inside of the card.  Behind the tree leaves is the sentiment "Thinking of You"  and mailed to a friend recuperating from surgery.

Free 4 All & Sketch Challenge

Okay, I am failing to post my cards as I make them!!!

Today we are to make a background with stamps or somehow repeat the sentiment.  I choose to go with a watermark type.  What fun!  I used white card stock and stamped the sentiment in Daffodil Delight from the Curly Cute set by SU.  I used the Gala Greehouse DSP and Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz cardstock.  The flower from the Friends Never Fade seemed to fit so I inked it up with the stampin write pens in Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie.

I stamped the background stamp in Black and used it on the front.  Added Jewels and it's done.

Wednesday I checked out the challenge knowing I couldn't make a card until I got back home. What fun.  My friend Silke aka Sparklegirl's card from April had been picked for the sketch.  So I went and had lunch with her and told her...she didn't know and was very excited and honored.  Well of course I didn't get home until real late, but I did this card ~

I am very happy with it.  I left off any sentiment and flipped the card.  I used the stamp from Thoughts and Prayers (love that tree), inked it with stampin write pens {Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler}  Used white card stock for the base, then added Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler card stock behind the image.  The DSP is from basic grey and then added some silver pearls.

TFL ~ Have a great week-end!
