CC256 Forest Friends

Chocolate Chip, Dusty Durango & Sage Shadow along with 2 pattern papers.  This is the color challenge at SCS today.

I have been working on this card since 9:30 this morning.  It's a very simple card.  But today was one of those days.  Lots of calls.  My cell was acting up.  Trying to take care of some minor problems!

Though I had one very pleasant interruption.  My son called and wanted to skype with us! He's in Germany, trying to adjust to life over in the severe cold and unusal snow they have been having this winter. We were on the video for about 2 1/2 hours. Of course we got to "visit" with 3 of our grands.  They are moving for the third time in to what they hope will be a permanent home for the entire tour.  They are so excited at the thought of getting to sleep in there bed without the baby between them.  No cribs were available for rent from the base (since Dec 13th they have shared a bed with the baby).  Furniture is to be delivered with this move.

At first I was not too sure about these colors. Then I got a piece of each and realized they have great potential. On what I call the medallion I sponged around it to give it some definition. Popped on some pearls. Instead of two patterns, I put a pattern on the pattern by scoring it.   These colors will be on my list for later use.
